The government had previously set March 17 as the deadline to submit bids to buy 100 percent stake in Air India.
The Union Government extended the deadline for submitting bids to buy a 100 percent stake in Air India till April 30, 2020. The earlier deadline was March 17. The revised announcement was made on March 13, 2020.
The government had allowed the interested bidders access to Air India’s virtual data room in late February. The government had given them more time until March 6 to submit their queries.
The decision to extend the deadline for submission of the expression of interest (EoI) by interested bidders was taken by Home Minister Amit Shah-led ministerial panel on Air India.
The deadline has been extended in the view of the requests received from the interested bidders, said the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) in a notification.
